International Holocaust Remembrance Day (January 27th, 2022)
Never Forget S ome people may call these two words a platitude, because how could anyone ever forget about the Holocaust? If you asked anybody, they'd immediately remember the Holocaust as one of the most horrific periods of human history. It's impossible to forget. If the whole world remembers Hitler's Holocaust, how come The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum made the phrase " Never Forget " the theme of its 2013 Days of Remembrance? It's simple: We (society) only remember the conclusion- and we forget everything that preceded it. It's a phrase urging ordinary people not to ignore the subtle warning signs of oppression, tyranny, and genocide. It's a phrase reminding ordinary people that "history repeating itself" is so much more than just a cliché truism that frequently gets mentioned.
